Unfortunately Craps can be pretty intimidating for the newcomer. There are such a large number of betting options, special rules and exceptions that you'll feel as if you'll never get a handle on it. But hang in there because the smarter you play the easier it is. The trick is to take it one step at a time.
With the Dice Control Revolution in full swing, it is now an accepted fact that craps players possessing the skill of setting, gripping and throwing the dice so that they travel side-by-side in orbit, can overcome the house edge at casino craps.
When you develop the ability to throw the dice more than the random 6 times before the losing 7 is rolled, you have an edge over the house. In fact if you learn to use dice control to increase your SRR (Sevens To Roll Ratio) from the random 1:6 (one seven every six throws) to only 1:6.5 you gain an advantage over the casino.
You can make money using dice control and you can lose if you don’t have a practical learning program that teaches you both the dice control method and sound money management skills. Many self-taught dice controllers fool themselves into thinking that they have an advantage when they don’t.
The casinos are aware of dice controllers and find them acceptable because it increases their action at the craps tables as more and more players attempt to take advantage of a hot table.
Think about it, the dice controller walks up to an empty table and starts playing, this is the perfect scenerio, the dice controller makes money on his throw and with no one else at the table he gets to throw a lot. His winning attracts the attention of other players (we like to refer to them as "Chicken Feeders"). They think they have found a HOT CRAPS TABLE when in fact they have found a table with a HOT PLAYER. As the table fills up the dice controller has to wait longer and longer for his turn. Since he is making money primarily on his throw and can not afford to wait long for his turn, he leaves the table. The casino starts raking in all of the money flowing from the Chicken Feeders who think they are at a HOT TABLE.
So, the casinos generally do not mind dice controllers. Some do but we will teach you how to deal with them too.
